Well. I did it. Final count (in Word) 52,103 words. That's including 3,556 words of false start from Days 1 and 2. I really wanted to have 50K above and beyond that. I only had about 1,500 words left to go to make it, but today was just too much and I'm tired. Last night was our annual family cookie decorating extravaganza. The inspiration for this pair of cookies came pretty late in the game, around about the time I noticed that we had two distinct but delightful shades of purple.

Foxtrot is probably the comic strip most in touch with the way Nerds see the world. This brilliant one-panel offering from 2003 was, I think, my very favorite of all of Bill Amend's genius.
